Tested by the best drivers for the entire 2010 season, it is now a reliable and ready-to-race device, with its numerous variants of calliper, lining and disc.

 

The lightness of the material and the reduced thickness (1mm) are not a problem for most of the most powerful systems, against evident benefits.

 

 P-DEF plates are to be positioned between the brake lining and the calliper's pistons, creating a barrier for the passage of the heat given off during the braking.

In this way, Vapor-lock problems, caused by  the brake fluid as a consequence of an intense use of the brakes, can be reduced.

Another result is a quicker response in case of a cold-brakes, because the plate’s insulation allows the lining to reach the correct temperature in a shorter time.

The PYROCLAST® material also takes part in the damping of the vibrations, succeeding in drowning out some of the highest resonance frequencies.
